NBA Note - Philadelphia 76ers Fultz, Markelle
Oct 16, 2017 - 7:11 AM G Markelle Fultz, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, will open the season as a reserve, coach Brett Brown announced Sunday. The 76ers open the season Wednesday against the Wizards and the star backcourt combo of John Wall and Bradley Beal, and that was one factor in the decision. Another is that Fultz played in just two preseason games after battling shoulder and knee ailments.
Fultz scored four points on 2-of-13 shooting in his first preseason appearance against the Grizzlies. He fared better in his second when he tallied 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting against the Celtics.
No one has shouted yet.
