NBA Note - Minnesota Timberwolves Towns, Karl-Anthony
Oct 16, 2017 - 7:11 AM C Karl-Anthony Towns and G Tyus Jones had their fourth-year options exercised by the Timberwolves , the team announced Sunday.Towns, the top overall pick in the 2015 draft, averaged 25.1 points and 12.3 rebounds while starting all 82 games for the second straight season in 2016-17. The 7-footer set a team single-season scoring record with 2,061 points and recorded 1,007 rebounds. He became the youngest player in NBA history to total at least 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a season, the 15th player overall and first since Tim Duncan in 2001-02.
