NBA Note - Utah Jazz Exum, Dante
Oct 17, 2017 - 4:58 AM G Dante Exum will undergo shoulder surgery next week, and the timetable for his recovery is uncertain.The procedure, set for Oct. 24, is intended to stabilize the AC joint in Exum's separated left shoulder. The operation could threaten his season. Exum was injured in a preseason game against the Phoenix Suns on Oct. 6. Phoenix guard TJ Warren, attempting to block a layup attempt, came down heavily on Exum's shoulder, sending the Utah guard to the floor writhing in pain.
The 22-year-old Exum, the fifth overall selection in the 2014 NBA Draft, averaged 6.2 points, 1.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 66 games (26 starts) last season.
