Kings' Fox to return against Hornets

Jan 2, 2018 - 9:41 PM Sacramento Kings rookie guard De'Aaron Fox is expected to return to the lineup for Tuesday night's game against the visiting Charlotte Hornets, the team announced.

Fox has been sidelined for 2 1/2 weeks due to a partial tear in his right quadriceps muscle. He was injured in a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Dec. 14.

Sacramento's first-round pick (No. 5 overall) out of Kentucky last year, Fox is averaging 9.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 29 games.

With Fox set to return, the Kings also announced that fellow rookie guard Frank Mason is expected to be sidelined at least one week due to a right heel contusion.

Mason was hurt in the first quarter of Sunday's loss at Memphis. The second-round pick out of Kansas University is averaging 7.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
