NBA Parlay Odds & Picks for Monday, April 18 (2022)

Apr 18, 2022 - 3:32 PM

Following a busy weekend in the NBA, every playoff team has played at least one game as things are starting to take shape on how this postseason could go. On Sunday, the favorites went 2-2, as the only absolute blowout of the day came at the hands of the Heat, winning 115-91 over the Hawks.

Let’s take a closer look at Monday’s slate and see where we can identify the edge.

DraftKings NBA Playoffs

Leg #1. 76ers -7.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
While Embiid and Harden got all of the pre-game analysis on Friday in Game 1 of the Raptors/76ers series, Tyrese Maxey earned the post-game. Scoring 38 points on 67% from the field, Maxey joined Tobias Harris and his 26 points to guide this 76ers team to a 131-111 Game 1 win.

The Raptors now must respond quickly, as injury issues dominate the headlines heading into tonight. Already down Gary Trent Jr. (illness), the Raptors will also be without Thaddeus Young (thumb) and Scottie Barnes (foot) for tonight’s game 2. Even with them in the lineup, I’d lean 76ers, but without, I expect a rout.

Leg #2. Jazz ML | -220 at DK Sportsbook
#1 in the league in rebounds per game, the Jazz’s dominance on the boards was on full display in game 1 of this series, winning the battle by a margin of +19 in their 99-93 victory. The Mavericks also had no answer for Donovan Mitchell, whose 32 points led all scorers.

While the Mavericks hung around without Luka Doncic in game 1, I expect Jazz adjustments to make for a different story tonight as they remain without him. Look for another big game from Mitchell, as Rudy Gobert continues to dominate around the rim without an elite scorer from Dallas.

Leg #3. Nuggets +7 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
After a nervous stretch to end the regular season as Steph Curry recovered from a foot injury and the Warriors slid down the standings accordingly, things might just be alright after all. Coming off the bench scoring 16 points in 22 minutes, the Warriors instead relied on 22-year-old Jordan Poole, who dropped 30 in his playoff debut as the Warriors ran away with a 123-107 victory.

While the Warriors still rotate Curry into the lineup gingerly, the Nuggets ace Nikola Jokic is healthy and due for a big game after a pedestrian 25-10-6 on Saturday. Look for a big game from Joker as the Nuggets keep this one close.
