Top NBA Prop Odds & Picks for Wednesday, May 11 (2022)
May 11, 2022 - 1:21 PMIn the NBA, it’s been mostly home teams getting the job done night after night. Last night was blowout city, with the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns blowing out their opponents respectively.
Tonight, we’re going to home that the two games on the schedule are a bit closer. The closer a game is, the more chance of an over on a player prop hitting. And no one wants to bet the under!
Here are my three favorite NBA props for the night of May 11.
Bucks vs. Celtics: Marcus Smart Over 6.5 Assists
The Celtics are going to be much better off with Marcus Smart healthy. Smart added eight assists in Game 4, on the road, against the Bucks to help lead the Celtics to a Game 4 victory. He played 41 minutes in that game. In that game, he played elite defense, got everyone involved on the offensive end, and probably didn’t get enough credit for his performance in that game because he was overshadowed by Al Horford.
When Smart gets his minutes, he’s fantastic. He played just 29 minutes in Game 3 and added 33 minutes in Game 2. He also didn’t play in Game 1. When he’s making shots, he’s locked in and getting everyone involved. When he’s missing shots, he’s just not the same.
But after Game 4, I think we can officially agree that Smart looks healthy again. Shots are going to fall and that means he’s going t be more locked in, looking to get others involved. Take Smart to get over on his assists at plus money.
Bet: Marcus Smart Over 6.5 Assists (+114 at FanDuel)
Bucks vs. Celtics: Al Horford Over 2.5 Three-pointers
Al Horford had the game of his life on Monday, scoring 30 points while shooting 5-of-7 from downtown. He’s likely not going to replicate this. However, it’s not like the Bucks are going to double-team Horford and keep Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart open from the field.
Horford has nailed at least four threes in three of the first four games of this series. It’s not like this game came out of the blue. He’s getting 12.8 shots up per game and shooting seven threes per game. I need three makes on an average of seven shots at +152.
Sign me up for that.
Bet: Al Horford Over 2.5 Three-pointers (+152 at FanDuel)
Warriors vs. Grizzlies: Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 2.5 Three-pointers
I’m loving the plus-money tonight. Jackson Jr. went 0-for-7 from downtown against the Warriors in Game 4. He took 21 shots in that game overall and just didn’t shoot very well. But throughout the series, Jackson is still shooting 36.3% from downtown and is averaging three makes per game with nearly eight attempts per game.
Jackson nailed six threes in his first game f the series, two threes in his second, and four threes in the third game. Monday was an outlier. He was trying to do too much with Ja Morant out.
Look for Jackson Jr. to get back on track with his shot tonight. Take that plus money with Jackson Jr.
Bet: Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 2.5 Three-pointers (+146 at DraftKings)
