NBA Playoffs Parlay Odds & Picks for Friday, May 13 (2022)
May 13, 2022 - 3:49 PMThe 2022 NBA playoffs turn their attention to Milwaukee and Golden State tonight as both home teams (and favorites) look to close out their conference semi-finals matchup. Will the stars shine bright in the biggest moments so far this season?
Let’s take a closer look.
Leg #1. Bucks -1.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
The Celtics had a pivotal Game 5 win all but in their grasp on Wednesday, leading in the game’s final minute before Bobby Portis and Jrue Holiday snatched it from their grasp. Winning 110-107 in Boston, the Bucks now head home to close out the series.
It was another 40-point game for perennial All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo, as the momentum has all but certainly shifted to the defending champions.
For the Celtics, this series has been about (attempting to) containing Antetokounmpo, as Grant Williams and Al Horford have primarily gotten the assignment. Nothing has been successful, and with their own down-low threat Robert Williams sidelined with a knee injury, the chances are dwindling by the day.
Even with Robert Williams upgraded to a game-time decision today, I think the momentum has already shifted. The Bucks get it done tonight on their home floor, advancing to the Eastern Conference playoffs. Look for them to rely on the veteran leadership in this one, with Portis having another big game.
Leg #2. Grizzlies +8 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
The series (and pressure) shifts back to Golden State tonight, as the Grizzlies will look to carry the momentum from a 134-95 home win on Wednesday. The feat was even more impressive given that All-Star Ja Morant was sidelined with a knee injury, but not surprising for those who closely follow the team.
Having won 20 of 25 games without him in the lineup this season, this Grizzlies team continues to show a level of resilience unmatched in the Western Conference.
With Morant out again tonight, the question will be, can Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane, who led the way for a team that shot 47.5% from the field on Wednesday, produce the same effort on the road.
While I think the Warriors get it done tonight behind one of the best 1-2 scoring punches in league history, I think the Grizzlies have just enough dog to keep it close. If Jackson Jr. or Bane can produce a historic effort, they could very well force a Game 7 in Memphis.
