It’s the ever-so-drama-filled Game 7. It all comes down to tonight on who goes to the NBA Finals and who goes home. In every game, setting the tone is so important, but especially in these games where there is no chance to regroup and come back the next day. The first basket will be important.

Boston’s Robert Williams and Al Horford have switched at the opening tip-off. Williams is playing with a knee injury and it could be impacting him, so Horford could be going against Miami’s Bam Adebayo. Adebayo has won 13-of-23 jump balls in the playoffs, but he couldnt get the best of Hordford in this matchup and Horford is now 2-0 against Adebayo in this series. 

The Heat have done well by grabbing the first basket in 48% of their games, but the Celtics are the best in the league this season at 65%.

The Celtics should gain the initial possession and although they’ve failed to convert the first field goal attempt in the last couple of games they should get it done here.

Jaylen Brown continues to be the guy that gets it going for Boston as he leads the team by attempting 30% of the team’s first field goals and 26% of the first game basket. Miami’s defense has been vulnerable to shooting guard all season as they’ve allowed the most first baskets to that position at 29%.
