Celtics vs. Heat Game 7 Prop Bet for Sunday, May 29 (2022)

May 29, 2022 - 3:53 PM

Here is my favorite prop bet for this afternoon’s Game 7 between Miami and Boston.

Derrick White OVER 8.5 Points | -118 at FanDuel

“Game 7” are the best two words in the sports world, and I couldn’t agree more. I won’t be going with the stars, despite expecting big games for Jimmy Butler and Jayson Tatum. Instead, I’ll turn to Derrick White, who has been on fire lately. He is averaging 12.3 ppg for the year; his numbers reduce in the postseason, but with Marcus Smart not completely healthy, he will get more minutes, usage, and field goal attempts.

In the last three games of this series, he has played 41, 30, and 33 minutes, attempted 14, 8, and 14 field goals, and scored 13,14, and 22. He averaged 12 ppg against Miami this season, despite going scoreless in 14 minutes in Game 3 of this series.

I think we will see our first close game in this deciding matchup. White is the main guy from the bench and will see a lot of minutes so 8.5 looks good, despite him shooting poorly from 3. He goes to the FT line fairly often, and with that many attempts per game, I believe he will cover for us.
