Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Miami Heat: gamethread
Jan 31, 2023 - 11:30 PMThe Cleveland Cavaliers will look to put some space between them and the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference standings tonight.
The Heat control the all-time series between the two franchises 74-49 which is a pretty sizable margin. A lot of this has to do with Miami absolutely dominating since The Decision.
Miami is 32-11 against Cleveland in their 43 meetings since the start of the 2010-11 campaign. This includes Heat win streaks of 11 (from ‘12-’14) and 8 (from ‘18-’20). The Cavs have however won three of their last four meetings including a vintage 11-point fourth quarter showing from Kevin Love in a win last season.
Speaking of Love, he should be back in the lineup tonight as he’s probable for tonight’s contest. We’ll see if he can provide solid minutes off the bench as the Cavs look to build on their strong performances against Miami from last season.
