Saint Louis beats Dayton 68-65 in double overtime

Feb 14, 2010 - 12:08 AM ST. LOUIS(AP) -- Cody Ellis hit a pair of 3-point shots in overtime to lead Saint Louis past Dayton 68-65 in double overtime on Saturday.

St. Louis (16-8, 7-3 Atlantic 10) stretched its winning streak to four games. The Billikens rallied from a double-digit deficit for the third time in a row.

Kwamain Mitchell led Saint Louis with 21 points. Kyle Cassity added 14 points and Ellis chipped in with 11.

Devin Searcy scored a career-high 16 points for Dayton (18-6, 6-4). Chris Wright also added 16 points for the Flyers.

Ellis broke a tie at 63 by hitting a 3-pointer with 37 seconds remaining. Mitchell and Brian Conklin added free throws for Saint Louis before Dayton's Chris Johnson missed a potential trying 3-pointer at the buzzer.

It was the fourth overtime game this season for Saint Louis, which improved 2-2 in extra time.
