San Francisco beats Santa Clara 71-68 in overtime

Feb 21, 2010 - 6:00 AM SANTA CLARA, Calif.(AP) -- Dior Lowhorn scored 28 points and Angelo Caloiaro added 20 as San Francisco earned a 71-68 overtime victory against Santa Clara on Saturday.

Blake Wallace had 12 points for the Dons (12-15, 7-5 West Coast Conference), making 4 of 5 3-point shots, including one in overtime.

Marc Trasolini led Santa Clara (11-18, 3-9) with 17 points, and Ben Dowdell had 13, Michael Santos 11 and Troy Payne 10.

USF, which led by as many as 16 points in regulation, won for the fifth time in six games. The Dons shot 12 of 19 (63.2 percent) from 3-point range, and beat Santa Clara for just the second time in 10 meetings.
