No. 23 Oklahoma routs TCU

Mar 8, 2014 - 11:39 PM Fort Worth, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Buddy Hield scored a game-high 24 points to go with eight rebounds and four assists in No. 23 Oklahoma's 97-67 dismantling of TCU.

Cameron Clark and Isaiah Cousins scored 18 points apiece and Ryan Spangler finished with 10 for the Sooners (23-8, 12-6 Big 12), who secured the second seed in the upcoming Big 12 tournament.

Jarvis Ray scored 18 points, Kyan Anderson finished with 17 points and Karviar Shepherd scored 10 for the Horned Frogs (9-21, 0-18), who haven't won a conference game since taking down Oklahoma March 9, 2013.

Anderson had TCU within five, 29-24, near the midway point of the first half, but a 10-2 burst gave the Sooners a 39-26 lead with just over five minutes left.

Shepherd had the Horned Frogs within seven later in the half, but OU closed the frame on a 10-2 run to take a 53-38 lead into the break.

The Sooners' lead swelled to 24, 70-46, following a Cousins tip-in with 14 1/2 minutes to go and TCU never got closer than 16 the rest of the way.

Oklahoma had 25 assists on 35 made field goals while TCU finished with just six helpers on 25 made field goals ... The last Big 12 team to go without a league win was Texas A&M in 2003-04.
