Trojans' Dedmon declares for NBA draft

Apr 24, 2013 - 10:49 PM Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Southern California junior center Dewayne Dedmon decided to forego his senior season and enter the NBA draft.

"It's just my time to chase my dream and go to the NBA," said Dedmon in a Wednesday statement. "I had a great time at USC and it was a good experience. I had some ups and downs and learned a lot and believe it is best for me to turn professional at this time. I wish USC, (new head coach) Andy Enfield and all my teammates all the best moving forward. Andy is a good guy and I believe he will do great things here."

Despite losing most of his sophomore season to a knee injury, the 7-foot, 255- pound Dedmon rebounded this past season to post 6.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while leading the team with 66 blocks and 34 steals.
