Whitt transferring from Arkansas after freshman season
Mar 30, 2016 - 6:30 PM FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) Arkansas coach Mike Anderson says guard Jimmy Whitt will transfer from the school following the spring semester.Whitt played in all 32 games as a freshman for the Razorbacks (16-16), averaging 6.1 points per game and 17.2 minutes per game.
The highly recruited 6-foot-4 guard from Columbia, Missouri, played well to begin his first season at Arkansas - scoring in double figures in five of his six games. However, he scored in double figures only four more times in the season and shot only 38.7 percent from the field.
Anderson says he doesn't agree with Whitt's decision, but that he wishes him the best moving forward, while Whitt says he feels ''like it's time for me to make a change.''
