Purdue's Edwards declares for NBA draft without agent
Apr 5, 2016 - 7:41 PM WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) Purdue sophomore Vince Edwards will enter the NBA draft but will not hire an agent. The decision announced Tuesday allows Edwards to attend team workouts beginning April 26 and compete at the NBA Draft Combine from May 10-15 in Chicago, if he's invited. It also gives Edwards the flexibility to withdraw from the draft by May 25 and return to school without losing his eligibility.
The 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward led Purdue with 100 assists and 46 3-pointers made last season. He also finished second in scoring, at 11.3 points, and third in rebounding, at 5.4.
Edwards is the second Boilermakers player to test the NBA waters. Freshman forward Caleb Swanigan had already announced he will test the NBA waters as well but also without an agent.
