Huskers' Andrew White declaring for draft but could return
Apr 21, 2016 - 6:47 PM LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) Nebraska guard Andrew White is declaring for the NBA draft, but he's not hiring an agent so he can maintain his eligibility.White, who made the announcement Thursday, can attend workouts scheduled by NBA teams next week and compete in the draft combine in May. He'll have until May 25 to decide whether to stay in the draft pool.
White transferred from Kansas two years ago and averaged 16.6 points and 5.9 rebounds for Nebraska last season.
White, who will graduate next month, said participating in pre-draft activities would give him an opportunity to gain exposure in an elite setting.
Nebraska coach Tim Miles says he would love to have White return to the Cornhuskers next season but that he's supportive of White auditioning for the NBA.
