Krzyzewski has hernia surgery, expects to be healthy for Rio
May 9, 2016 - 6:17 PM DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Duke says men's basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski has had hernia surgery.Team spokesman Cory Walton said the Hall of Fame coach underwent inguinal hernia repair surgery Monday at Duke University Hospital.
Krzyzewski says he will be in ''great physical condition'' when he coaches the U.S. national team in the Olympics this summer. The typical recovery time is four weeks.
It's the second procedure for the 69-year-old coach this offseason. He previously underwent left knee replacement surgery in early April.
No one has shouted yet.
