Alabama: NCAA hasn't reinstated top signee Collin Sexton
Nov 7, 2017 - 1:26 AM TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama says freshman point guard Collin Sexton hasn't been cleared to play by the NCAA. Athletic director Greg Byrne says Sexton hasn't had his eligibility reinstated and will miss Monday night's exhibition game with Alabama-Huntsville. Byrne says the decision was made "to err on the side of caution." He says Alabama "will continue to cooperate with the NCAA and work toward a resolution that results in Colin's timely reinstatement." He didn't release any details on why Sexton wasn't eligible. A top-10 national recruit, Sexton was the centerpiece of Alabama's touted signing class. ___ More college basketball: http://collegebasketball.ap.orgNo one has shouted yet.
