Nov 19, 2017 - 5:29 AM Daxter Miles poured in a career-high 32 points and No. 24 West Virginia overwhelmed Morgan State 111-48 on Saturday night in Morgantown, W. Va.

West Virginia enjoyed its largest margin of victory (63 points) since 2007.

Jevon Carter added 16 points, five assists and four steals for the Mountaineers (2-1), who took command with a 33-1 run during an eight-minute stretch of the first half.

Martel Cameron and LaPri McCray-Pace scored 10 each for Morgan State (2-2), which, despite upsetting South Florida last week, couldn't keep this one competitive.

"Press Virginia" forced 27 turnovers and dominated the rebounding 49-29.



No. 17 Gonzaga 79, Utah State 66

Gonzaga struggled throughout a first half, when it trailed by as many as eight points, before breaking away in the second half.

Sophomore forward Killian Tillie had 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Gonzaga, which blew the game open with a 24-5 run after the Aggies' Diogo Brito's layup cut the Bulldogs' lead to 53-52 with 14:04 remaining in the second half.

Sam Merrill led Utah State with 19 points and six rebounds.



No. 19 Purdue 106, Fairfield 64

Purdue made 13 of 18 first-half 3-point attempts, built a 58-28 lead through 20 minutes and went on to crush Fairfield in West Lafayette, Ind.

The Boilermakers (4-0) made five 3s in the game's first 3:26 and led 15-3 at that point.

Dakota Mathias, Vince Edwards and P.J. Thompson were a collective 13 of 15 from behind the 3-point arc through 20 minutes. Mathias finished with 23 points, Vince Edwards had 21 and Carsen Edwards scored 18.

Fairfield (2-1) had 14 first-half turnovers. Fairfield guard Tyler Nelson had 10 first-half points and finished with 16.



No. 20 Northwestern 82, La Salle 74

Bryant McIntosh scored 21 points and Northwestern handed La Salle its first loss in a Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame Tip-off game at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

McIntosh hit five 3-pointers and helped Northwestern bounce back from a loss to Creighton on Wednesday.

Scottie Lindsey scored 20 points, and Derek Pardon added 14 points for the Wildcats (3-1), who advance to face Texas Tech on Sunday.

B.J. Johnson scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Explorers.



No. 22 Seton Hall 82, NJIT 53

Led by 19 points from Desi Rodriguez, Seton Hall won its 20th straight nonconference game at the Prudential Center, turning back New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Sandro Mamukelashvili scored 11 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had four of Seton Hall's seven blocked shots in 24 minutes off the bench.

Abdul Lewis led NJIT (1-2) with 10 points.
