They beat Gonzaga, Houston, and Baylor in nonconference play. However, they also lost to teams like Iona, Missouri, and Georgia. Their resume looks like this because they are one of the highest variance teams in the country. The Crimson Tide shoot the 12th most three-pointers per game but are 305th in three-point percentage. Games are decided by whether or not threes are going down for Bama.

They have plenty of talent to get it done as Jordan Shackelford, Jahvon Quinerly, and Keon Ellis all average double-digit points per game but where they are elite is from inside the arc. The Tide are eighth in the country in two-point percentage. However, they could potentially have a lot of success from that area as the Irish are 197th in two-point percentage allowed.

The Irish should be willing to run with them, especially after they sink a few threes. I’m betting on fireworks and taking the over in this one.
