NCAA Tournament Championship: Kansas Opens as 4.5-Point Favorite Over North Carolina

In a pair of Final Four matchups on Saturday, the Kansas Jayhawks defeated the Villanova Wildcats 81-65, and the North Carolina Tar Heels topped the Duke Blue Devils 81-77 in Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski’s final game. On Monday, Kansas faces off against North Carolina to determine the 2022 NCAA champion.
One of the four No. 1 seeds in the tournament, Kansas opens up as a 4.5-point favorite over No. 8 seed North Carolina.

Kansas began the tournament as the top seed in the Midwest bracket and has defeated No. 16 Texas Southern (Round of 64), No. 9 Creighton (Round of 32), No. 4 Providence (Sweet 16), No. 10 Miami (Elite 8), and No. 2 Villanova (Final Four) to advance to the championship round. North Carolina, a No. 8 seed, has gone on an improbable run while coming out of the East Region, defeating No. 9 Marquette (Round of 64), No. 1 Baylor (Round of 32), No. 4 UCLA (Sweet 16), No. 15 Saint Peter’s (Elite 8), and No. 2 Duke.
Kansas went 32-6 during the regular season, while North Carolina went 28-9. The early over/under consensus is at 153 points, while the moneyline is currently -189 (Kansas) / +155 (North Carolina).
