The Villanova Wildcats have entered the race for Bryson Tucker, a five-star prospect in the Class of 2024.

Tucker announced his latest offer came from the ‘Cats over the weekend. A consensus blue-chipper, Tucker is rated No. 19 overall according to 247 sports and No. 4 in the nation by ESPN.

He’s coming off of a big sophomore season, where he helped Mount St. Joseph finish 33-6 with Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association Class A conference and Baltimore Catholic League championships.

The 6-foot-8, 180-pound wing averaged 22.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game last season.

He has since transferred to Florida-based powerhouse IMG Academy, where he plans on finishing out his high school career.

Tucker opted to sit out from the AAU circuit this past summer to rest and recover, but that didn’t seem to hurt or affect his recruiting stock.

He garnered a lot of buzz after helping Team USA capture the gold medal back at the 2021 FIBA U-16 Americas Championship and has continued to be one of the nation’s top high school players since then.

Aside from Villanova, Tucker also holds offers from Duke, Kansas, Indiana, Notre Dame, Auburn, LSU, Virginia Tech, Illinois, Penn State, George Mason, Maryland, and fellow Big East school Georgetown.
