California guard commits to Tad Boyle and Colorado basketball
Sep 27, 2022 - 1:18 AMWhile the Colorado Buffaloes are in the process of lighting the football program on fire, Tad Boyle and the basketball Buffs are plugging away at their highest sustained level...of all time? It’s up there. Now Courtney Anderson is part of that high watermark.
Anderson is another California guard. If you remember some of CU’s best teams, they are filled with Golden State guards. Askia Booker, Spencer Dinwiddie, Evan Battey (not a guard), KJ Simpson, the Buffs love to push for California talent. Anderson hails from Dublin High School, right outside San Francisco. He’s only taken 3 official visits, all outside the state, and choose the Buffs over offers from ASU, Cal, Washington State and a few other California schools. It seems like he wanted to leave the state.
Anderson has FANTASTIC size for a shooting guard, at 6’6. He is also well-built, with plenty of muscle (and room for more). He is a graceful jumper who seems to float in the air, and his shot release is a little funky but it goes up fast. I expect him to rise up the rankings as a senior.
Welcome, Courtney!
