Big East recruiting update (Oct. 3)

It was a pretty tame week on the recruiting trail. Here’s all the action from across the Big East for this past week:

Non-Big East commitments:

• Three-star 2024 guard Karris Bilal (Atlanta, Ga./Riverwood) committed to Vanderbilt, also had a Xavier offer.

Final cuts:

• Four-star 2024 center James Brown (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) trimmed his list to 10 and eliminated all Big East schools from consideration — had DePaul, Marquette and Providence offers.
• 2023 guard Christian Jones (New Canaan, Conn./Our Saviour Lutheran) did not include Providence or Seton Hall in his final three.

New offers:

• Four-star 2024 forward Rob Dockery (Washington, D.C./Jackson-Reed) received an offer from UConn.
• Three-star 2024 forward Bryce Dortch (Somerville, Mass./Brimmer and May) received an offer from Providence.
• Three-star 2024 forward Godswill Erheriene (Nigeria/Long Island Lutheran) received an offer from Seton Hall.
• 2025 guard Isaiah Langham (Boston, Mass./Belmont Hill) received an offer from Providence.
• 2026 forward Francisco Santana (Providence, R.I./Lawrence Academy) received an offer from Georgetown.
• 2023 forward Donovan Santoro (Austin, Texas/Southern California Academy) received an offer from Providence.
• 2025 forward Sebastian Wilkins (Canton, Mass./Lawrence Academy) received an offer from Providence.
