Top College Basketball Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday, November 22nd (2022)
Nov 22, 2022 - 11:32 AMThis year’s version of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational has one of the most loaded fields in the tournament’s history, and yesterday’s first-round action from Hawaii did not disappoint. What is on tap for today’s second-round action, and what under-the-radar plays are in store for an action-packed Tuesday?
Here are our best bets for Tuesday’s college basketball action. (Odds courtesy of DraftKings)
Rutgers point guard Paul Mulcahy missed his first-ever collegiate game due to an injury in the team’s 72-66 loss to Temple last time out. Between Mulcahy and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Caleb McConnell being out, the Scarlet Knights did not have enough offensive firepower to overcome a big early deficit. Though Rutgers may have found something with an effective press late in the second half that helped cut its deficit to four points, it is not likely to press Rider from this game’s onset with a depleted bench. There has been no official word on the statuses of two of Rutgers’ best players, but we are grabbing the points with the underdogs before the line plummets if they are eventually ruled out.
Bet: Rider +15.5 (-110 at DraftKings)
Bowling Green vs. Notre Dame Spread
At some point, the Fighting Irish will cover a spread, as they are 0-4 ATS to start the season. Notre Dame has played with fire thus far, beating four teams that all rank outside KenPom’s top 175 by a combined 23 points. But the Fighting Irish are one of the oldest teams in the country (they rank fourth in D1 experience on the roster) and eventually will hit their stride, coming off a season where they won two games in the NCAA Tournament. We expect the first dose of positive regression to come today against a Bowling Green squad that ranks 232nd in 3-point defense (35.4%) and 313th in 2-point percentage allowed (56.5%), despite facing four teams ranked 138th or lower in adjusted offensive efficiency.
Bet: Notre Dame -14.5 (-110 at DraftKings)
