The Fairleigh Dickinson Knights handled the Texas Southern Tigers with ease in their First Four matchup. After the game, the team went viral for a locker room clip of them saying they think they can play with the Purdue Boilermakers. Can they actually, or are the Knights in for a rude awakening against the No. 1 seed from the Big 10?

Purdue vs. Fairleigh Dickinson

FDU +22.5 (-105)

Other than the players and coaches in the FDU locker room, no one actually thinks that this team can play with the Boilermakers. However, they should be able to pick up a cover in this game. This season, Purdue has beaten exactly two teams by 23 or more points this season. That includes all of their non-conference games.

The Boilermakers can score with just about anyone in the country, and their defense can certainly frustrate, but they don’t just obliterate teams like this spread suggests. It’s going to be close down the stretch, but take the Knights to cover this tight line.

Under 145.5 (-110)

The Knights scored 84 points against the Tigers on Wednesday night. Their offense has been very good this season, but they are not going to have similar success in this game against the Boilermakers.

The Boilermakers have held seven of their last nine opponents to fewer than 70 points. In the non-conference, they held four of the six mid-major schools they faced to fewer than 60 points, including two to less than 50. The Boilermakers could score north of 80 in this game, but even if they do, the Knights may not clear the 60-point mark.

Zach Edey 15+ Rebounds (+180)

Edey is averaging 12.8 rebounds per game, and while he is all but certain to see his minutes reduced in this game, he should still have a monster performance on the boards. The Knights only outrebounded the Tigers 32-31 in their first game. They also gave up 10 offensive boards.

If they gave up numbers like that against the Tigers, what is going to happen when they see Edey? Edey is going to pull down the rebound on most of the Knights’ missed shots, and there should even be opportunities for him to collect his own rebounds. He needs to play at least 20 minutes, but with how the Boilermakers play, it should be close enough at halftime that he sees enough minutes to hit this.
