Stanford beats Cal for 19th straight win
Jan 31, 2014 - 6:37 AM Stanford, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chiney Ogwumike scored 23 points to lead No. 4 Stanford to a 70-64 win over No. 21 California on Thursday.Karlie Samuelson added 14 points off the bench for the Cardinal (20-1, 9-0 Pac-12), who have won 19 in a row since their only loss of the season Nov. 11 to Connecticut.
Brittany Boyd scored 25 points to lead Cal (14-6, 6-3), which has lost three of its last five.
Stanford had an 18-point lead at halftime and went up by as many as 30 after the break before the Golden Bears ended the game on a 35-11 run.
The home-and-home series between the teams concludes Sunday in Berkeley.
