Sims helps Baylor thump Oklahoma
Feb 4, 2014 - 3:39 AM Norman, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Odyssey Sims had 27 points to lead No. 7 Baylor to an 81-67 win over Oklahoma on Monday.Nina Davis scored 19 points with 14 rebounds, while Imani Wright added 15 points and five boards for the Lady Bears (19-3, 9-1 Big 12), who have won five straight.
Morgan Hook had 18 points and Gioya Carter gave 12 points for the Sooners (14-9, 5-5), who were coming off a win against then-No. 11 Oklahoma State on Saturday.
Baylor never trailed in this game, but Oklahoma did keep it close until the Lady Bears went on a 16-1 run late in the first half and eventually took a 47-31 lead into the break.
Oklahoma got within eight after Carter hit two free throws with 6 1/2 minutes to play to make it a 67-59 game, but Baylor scored the next seven points to again create some room.
