Baylor overpowers Sam Houston State

Dec 5, 2006 - 3:34 AM WACO, Texas (Ticker) -- Baylor's inside game overwhelmed Sam Houston State.

Danielle Wilson scored 22 points to lead six players in double figures as No. 13 Baylor rolled to a 117-50 victory over Sam Houston State.

Baylor (9-1) completely dominated underneath, outrebounding Sam Houston State, 65-19, and outscoring the Bearkats, 68-8, in the paint.

Jessica Morrow scored 15 points and Bernice Mosby, Angela Tisdale and Latoya Wyatt added 13 apiece for the Bears, who shot a blistering 66 percent (50-of-76) from the field.

Baylor, which led, 59-26, at halftime, was just as proficient from long range, hitting 9-of-14 3-pointers, including three apiece by Morrow and Tisdale.

Bo Warm scored 12 points and was the only player in double figures for Sam Houston State (3-4), which shot 24 percent (14-of-58).
