Noe helps Arizona State extend winning streak to eight
Dec 29, 2006 - 9:49 AM BERKELEY, California (Ticker) -- Jill Noe scored 16 points and Emily Westerberg added 14 as 11th-ranked Arizona State eventually pulled away for a 74-58 victory over No. 19 California in a Pac-10 Conference matchup.Noe shot 6-of-9 from the field with a pair of 3-pointers, grabbed six rebounds and handed out five assists for the Sun Devils, who turned around a 31-29 deficit at intermission by shooting 58 percent (19-of-33) in the second half.
Westerberg, who scored 10 of her points in the second half, shot 7-of-16 and grabbed five rebounds.
Aubree Johnson finished with 11 points and Danielle Orsillo chipped in 10 for Arizona State (12-1, 2-0 Pac-10), which has won eight straight games.
Ashley Walker had 16 points and eight boards for the Bears (9-3, 1-2), who fell to 0-2 against ranked teams.
Devanei Hampton added 14 points but committed five of Cal's 24 turnovers.
