Paris erupts as Oklahoma women defeat Oklahoma State

Paris scored 41 points and grabbed 19 rebounds as No. 8 Oklahoma snapped a two-game slide with a 78-63 victory over Big 12 Conference rival Oklahoma State.

Before 11,676 at the Lloyd Noble Center - the second-largest crowd for a women's game - Paris simply overwhelmed the Cowboys with her play on the interior, making 16-of-22 shots. The Sooners held a 46-20 advantage in points in the paint

Paris missed half her 18 free throws, costing herself a chance at surpassing her career high of 43. But she dominated on both ends, controlling the backboards and blocking two shots.

Erin Higgins had nine points - all on 3-pointers - and four assists for the Sooners (18-3, 8-2 Big 12), who shot 44 percent (28-of-64), including 3-of-17 from the arc.

Rashidat Sadiq scored 18 points and Andrea Riley added 11 and seven assists for the Cowboys (15-7, 3-6), who shot under 33 percent (19-of-58) and were swept in the "Bedlam Series."
