Darrett, Baylor beat up Texas
Feb 18, 2007 - 11:30 PM WACO, Texas (Ticker) -- Latara Darrett scored 17 points as No. 14 Baylor defeated Big 12 Conference rival Texas, 71-56.Angela Tisdale had 12 points and Jhasmin Player and Bernice Mosby each added 10 for the Lady Bears (23-4, 10-3 Big 12), who have won four consecutive games.
Baylor shot 41 percent (23-of-56) from the field and who forced 20 turnovers and a 25-14 advantage in points off of turnovers.
Earnesia Williams scored 16 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Longhorns (16-11, 5-8), who shot 36 percent (21-of-58) from the floor and 0-of-9 from the 3-point line. Tiffany Jackson also added 12 points and 13 rebounds.
