Louisville storms through St. Johns
Feb 21, 2007 - 4:36 AM LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Angel McCoughtry scored 21 points, 17 in the second half as No. 19 Louisville posted a 91-62 victory over St. John's in a Big East Conference matchup.Helen Johnson scored 21 points and Patrika Barlow dished out 11 assists as Louisville (23-5, 9-5 Big East) moved past Notre Dame into fourth place in the conference.
The Cardinals led 32-31 at the break then erupted, shooting 53 percent (24-of-45) in the second half as they outscored the Red Storm, 59-31.
All five St. John's (8-17, 4-10) starters scored in double-figures led by Monique McLean with 17 points and the Red Storm received no offensive production from the bench who combined to take three shots.
