Paris powers Oklahoma over Oklahoma State
Jan 18, 2007 - 4:36 AM STILLWATER, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Courtney Paris continues to be unstoppable for Oklahoma.Paris had 17 points and 14 rebounds to lift the sixth-ranked Sooners to a 76-60 victory over Oklahoma State in a Big 12 Conference contest.
It was the 43rd consecutive double-double for Paris, who finished 8-of-10 from the floor as Oklahoma (14-1, 4-0 Big 12) shot 53 percent (28-of-53) for the game. She helped the Sooners outscore the Cowgirls in the paint, 32-14.
Leah Rush and Kendra Moore added 11 points apiece for Oklahoma, which was 7-of-12 from the arc in notching its fifth consecutive victory.
Maria Cordero scored 15 points to lead Oklahoma State (14-3, 2-2), which shot just 29 percent (18-of-62) and was dominated on the glass, 45-32.
