Harper, Toliver pace Maryland rout of Virginia
Jan 20, 2007 - 4:29 AM COLLEGE PARK, Maryland (Ticker) -- Virginia hardly presented a challenge to Laura Harper, Kristi Toliver and No. 3 Maryland.Harper scored 21 points and Toliver 20 as the Terrapins routed the Cavaliers, 95-68, in an Atlantic Coast Conference contest.
Crystal Langhorne collected 17 points and 12 rebounds and Marissa Coleman added 16 points for Maryland (19-1, 3-1 ACC), which made half of its 68 attempts from the floor.
Maryland limited Virginia to 35 percent shooting (13-of-37) in the first half as it took a 42-27 lead into the break.
The Terps broke open the contest with 53 points in the second half.
Lyndra Littles scored 23 points to pace Virginia (12-6, 2-2).
