Cole, Allen lead George Washington past Xavier
Jan 22, 2007 - 12:17 AM CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- Kenan Cole scored 15 points and Whitney Allen added 14 as No. 13 George Washington posted a 67-55 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over Xavier.Jessica Adair had 11 points, a career-high 15 rebounds and three blocks for the Colonials (16-2, 5-0 A-10), who matched their longest streak since winning nine in a row during the 2004-05 season.
Kimberly Beck contributed 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting for George Washington, which shot 37 percent (24-of-65) from the field.
Freshman Amber Harris scored 24 points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked five shots for the Musketeers (14-6, 2-2), who lost for the second time in eight games.
Suntana Granderson and reserve Joei Clyburn each scored 12 points for Xavier, which shot just 32 percent (19-of-60).
