Gearlds leads Purdue over Indiana
Jan 22, 2007 - 12:56 AM BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Ticker) -- Katie Gearlds scored 21 points and Lyndsay Wisdom-Hylton added 15 as No. 14 Purdue posted an 81-58 Big Ten Conference victory over Indiana.FahKara Malone had 13 points and five assists and Erin Lawless added 11 points for the Boilermakers (18-3, 7-0 Big Ten), who remain undefeated in conference play and are 40-23 all-time vs. the Hoosiers.
Gearlds was 8-of-17 from the field, including 4-of-9 from 3-point range, and Wisdom-Hylton also hauled in 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season for Purdue, which shot 55 percent (30-of-55).
Whitney Thomas scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Hoosiers (13-7, 2-5), who shot 34 percent (24-of-70).
