Williams leads Vanderbilt to win over Georgia Tech
Jan 22, 2007 - 1:45 AM DULUTH, Georgia (Ticker) -- Caroline Williams scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds as No. 11 Vanderbilt posted a 72-55 victory over Georgia Tech.Carla Thomas and Christina Wirth each scored 12 points for the Commodores (17-3), who converted 21 turnovers by the Yellow Jackets into 22 points.
Williams shot 7-of-9 from the field and nailed 4-of-6 from 3-point range for Vanderbilt, which shot 50 percent (26-of-52) from the field.
Reserve Janie Mitchell scored 14 points and had three steals and Chioma Nnamaka added 13 and nine rebounds for the Yellow Jackets (10-8), who shot 36 percent (20-of-55).
