Wisdom-Hylton leads Purdue to blowout of Northwestern
Jan 26, 2007 - 3:36 AM WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (Ticker) -- Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton scored 17 points and Katie Gearlds added 17 and seven assists as No. 13 Purdue posted a 72-30 Big Ten Conference blowout of Northwestern.Erin Lawless had 11 points and 11 rebounds - her third career double-double - and reserve Lakisha Freeman added 10 points for the Boilermakers (19-3, 8-0 Big Ten), who beat the Wildcats for the 17th straight time.
Wisdom-Hylton shot 8-of-14 from the field and Gearlds made all three of her 3-point attempts for Purdue, which held Northwestern to five field goals in the first half to take a 41-13 lead.
The 30 points scored by Northwestern was the lowest point total Purdue has allowed this season and the second-lowest the Boilermakers have ever allowed against a Big Ten team.
Nadia Bibbs scored 15 points off the bench for the Wildcats. She was the only player to score more than four points for the vistors, whose starting five mustered just a total of nine points compared to 48 for the Boilermakers.
