Bales leads Duke to easy win over Clemson
Feb 6, 2007 - 3:02 AM DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Alison Bales scored 21 points as top-ranked Duke pounded Atlantic Coast Conference rival Clemson, 105-53.The Blue Devils, (24-0, 9-0 ACC) raced to a commanding 54-32 advantage at halftime and outscored the Tigers, 51-21, in the second half.
Carrem Gay scored 18 points and Abby Waner added 16 for the Blue Devils, who shot 52 percent (37-of-71) from the field.
D'Lesha Lloyd led Clemson (10-13, 2-6) with 14 points and Christy Brown scored 12. The Tigers committed 20 turnovers and shot 40 percent (22-of-55).
