Wright leads Louisville in rout
Feb 11, 2007 - 4:19 AM LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Chauntise Wright scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as No. 16 Louisville cruised to a 98-50 Big East Conference victory over Syracuse.Wright shot 10-of-13 from the floor and Angel McCoughtry and Patrika Barlow each added 13 points for the Cardinals (22-3, 8-3 Big East), who have won five of their last six games.
Brandi Radde had 12 points and Jazz Covington added 11 for Louisville, which shot 55 percent (40-of-73) and outrebounded Syracuse, 52-36.
Nicole Michael scored 23 points for the Orange (8-16, 2-9), who shot a dismal 27 percent (17-of-64) in losing their seventh straight contest.
Vaida Sipaviciute added 10 points for Syracuse, which committed 20 turnovers, leading to 31 points for Louisville.
