California holds off Oregon State in double overtime

Feb 18, 2007 - 7:23 AM CORVALLIS, Oregon (Ticker) -- California needed two overtimes to put away one of the Pac-10 Conference's worst teams.

Ashley Walker scored 18 points and the 22nd-ranked Golden Bears scored the final seven points of the second overtime to post a 67-61 victory over Oregon State.

Devanei Hampton added 15 points and scored the tying baskets at the end of regulation and in the first extra session for California (20-7, 10-6 Pac-10).

Casey Nash scored 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting for Oregon State (8-17, 3-13). She gave the Beavers their last lead at 61-60 on a jumper with 3:14 to play in the second OT.

Hampton answered with a layup and Walker hit two free throws and another layup to finally end the marathon contest.
