January, Arizona State reigns over UCLA

Feb 19, 2007 - 1:51 AM LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Briann January scored 22 points and dished out nine assists as No. 8 Arizona State shot its way to a 80-69 Pac-10 Conference victory over UCLA.

Emily Westerberg and Danielle Orsillo each had 12 points and Aubree added 10 for the Sun Devils (25-3, 15-2 PAC-10), who pull within one-half game of Stanford for first place in the conference.

January finished 6-of-12 from the field and added six of the 15 steals for Arizona State, which forced 24 turnovers and finished with a 26-10 advantage in points off those giveaways.

Noelle Quinn shot 6-of-19 from the field for 20 points for the Bruins, who shot 40 percent (23-of-58) in losing their third consecutive game.
