North Carolina destroys Wake Forest
Feb 23, 2007 - 3:16 AM CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Camille Little scored 19 points as No. 4 North Carolina dominated Wake Forest, 96-47, in a one-sided Atlantic Coast Conference matchup.Erlana Larkins scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as North Carolina (27-2, 11-2 ACC) had six players score in double-figures and remained in second place in the conference behind Duke (28-0, 13-0).
Little made 6-of-10 shots and added four steals for the Tar Heels, who held a 58-30 advantage in rebounds and led 25-8 in second-chance points.
Yolanda Lavender scored 20 points as the lone Wake Forest (9-18, 0-13) player to score in double-figures.
The Demon Deacons shot 33 percent (19-of-58) from the field and 11 percent (2-of-19) from the arc.
