White leads LSU past Ole Miss
Mar 3, 2007 - 2:56 AM DULUTH, Georgia (Ticker) -- Erica White scored 17 points to lead No. 10 Louisiana State to a 52-46 victory over Mississippi in quarterfinal action at the Southeastern Conference tournament.LSU (25-6) led by as many as 18 points early in the second half, but the Rebels used a 13-0 run to close within 42-41 with 6:39 to play. But LSU regrouped and finished the contest on a 6-0 run.
Sylvia Fowles scored 11 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Tigers, who shot 35 percent (19-of-55) from the floor.
Armintie Price scored 12 points and had 11 rebounds for Ole Miss (21-10), which shot a dismal 25 percent (16-of-65), including just 1-of-10 from the arc.
