Chaney scored 10 points to lead LSU to a 27-18 halftime advantage, then hit a pair of 3-pointers and a layup in a 10-0 run to open the second half.
Florida State (24-10), which ousted second seed Stanford in the second round, never got closer than 12 points thereafter.
Jacinta Monroe scored 15 points and Alicia Gladden added 12 for the Seminoles, who committed 22 turnovers.
