Baylor fends off Texas Tech
Jan 23, 2011 - 4:16 AM Waco, TX (Sports Network) - Brittney Griner totaled 25 points, seven rebounds and six blocks to help top-ranked Baylor post a 64-51 victory over Texas Tech at the Ferrell Center.Melissa Jones had 13 points, eight assists and six boards for Baylor (18-1, 5-0 Big 12), which extended its win streak to 15 games. Destiny Williams scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Lady Bears notched their 14th straight home win.
Christine Hyde netted 14 points to pace Texas Tech (16-3, 3-2), which got 12 points, nine rebounds and five assists from Teena Wickett.
