No. 9 UCLA crushes Washington
Mar 4, 2011 - 6:02 AM Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Atonye Nyingifa scored 14 points and No. 9 UCLA cruised to a 60-42 wire-to-wire win over Washington.Jasmine Dixon added 13 points and Markel Walker netted 12 for the Bruins (25-3, 15-2 Pac-10), who have won three straight and close out the regular season against Washington State on Saturday.
Sarah Morton had 12 points to pace the Huskies (11-15, 6-11), which committed 23 turnovers in their fourth loss in five games.
Washington made just five field goals in the opening 20 minutes and did little down the stretch to cut into its 30-16 halftime deficit.
