K-State stuns No. 9 Aggies in OT

Jan 5, 2012 - 2:15 AM Manhattan, KS (Sports Network) - Brittany Chambers scored 21 points and Tasha Dickey poured in 17 to lead Kansas State to a 71-69 upset over No. 9 Texas A&M on Wednesday.

Jalana Childs added 16 points and Mariah White scored 12 for the Wildcats (10-3, 1-0 Big 12) winners in eight of their last nine.

Tyra White scored 17, Sydney Carter scored 16 and Kelsey Bone added a double- double with 14 points and 10 boards for the Aggies (9-3, 0-1), who had a three-game winning streak snapped.

The Wildcats trailed by as many as 11 in the second half, but a 16-2 run gave them a one point lead at 40-39. A&M was able to pull ahead again at 56-51 with 3:46 left in regulation, but were outscored, 10-5, by the Wildcats to send the game into overtime.

Trailing by two with just over 2 minutes to play in overtime Bone grabbed an offensive rebound and tied the game, but White's layup with four seconds remaining lifted Kansas State to victory.
